The camera is the canvas

Snapchat AR lenses

PizzaMan Flight

Turn a brand idea into a lens people can wear, move and play with.

EXPLORETHE EXPERIENCE

Give the camera something new to do.

A lens should be more than a logo placed on a face. It needs an invitation: become something, choose something, discover something. ehrlilab combines concept development, visual thinking and interaction design to shape Snapchat experiences around that invitation. The starting point is your brand and audience; the format follows the idea, with technical feasibility considered from the beginning.

Face-led transformations

Build a distinctive visual identity around the person using the lens, with expressive details that belong to the campaign.

Choice-based experiences

Invite a quick decision, reveal a result and give the participant a personal way into the brand story.

Playful challenges

Explore simple, understandable game mechanics that make participation part of the creative idea rather than an afterthought.

World-led concepts

Place a product, character or visual surprise in the surrounding scene, where the idea calls for spatial interaction.

Product storytelling

Turn a feature, flavor or collection into an interaction that helps people discover the product through play.

Campaign-ready creative

Connect the lens concept to the wider campaign through coherent art direction, clear prompts and a considered audience journey.

Gesture-responsive ideas

Explore how a supported facial or physical gesture can trigger a meaningful change, with feasibility checked against the intended interaction.

Camera-led quizzes

Place readable questions and answer choices around the participant, turning knowledge or preference into a short social interaction.

Digital accessories

Extend the visual identity through expressive details and wearable elements, using a tracking approach appropriate to the concept.

Image-triggered scenes

Explore a printed image or product surface as an entry point, subject to recognition requirements and platform feasibility.

Animated characters

Give an original character a role in the lens through movement, personality and a clear reason to interact.

Event camera experiences

Translate the mood of an occasion into a lens that gives attendees a visual prompt for their own social moment.

Why make
the story
interactive?

01

Make the idea personal

Give people a role within the campaign instead of asking them only to watch it.

02

Keep the brand in the action

Connect the product or story to what the participant actually does.

03

Create a clear social moment

Design around an understandable interaction and a visual result worth expressing.

04

Make the invitation easy to read

Use clear prompts and feedback so people can understand the lens without a separate explanation.

From idea to experience.

01

Find the invitation

Define the audience, brand story and action worth taking. Establish what the lens should help someone feel, discover or express.

02

Build the moment

Develop the visual direction and core interaction together. Test the idea early before adding polish or unnecessary complexity.

03

Refine for release

Review usability, visual consistency and the agreed device and platform requirements. Prepare the experience for the relevant review and publishing process.

A few good questions.

Do we need a finished lens idea?

No. A campaign brief, product launch or audience challenge is enough to begin. We can develop the interaction from that starting point, then agree the visual direction and production scope.

Can the lens include a game?

A simple game or choice mechanic can be explored when it serves the idea. Feasibility, interaction requirements and the intended audience experience are reviewed before the build is scoped.

What should we send with the brief?

Share the campaign objective, audience, brand assets, preferred timing and any non-negotiable requirements. If you already have creative references, include what you like about them rather than only the links.

What happens between the brief and delivery?

We agree the objective and interaction, review a visual direction, build a working version and refine it against the agreed scope. Review points and handover responsibilities are set before development.

Who handles platform approval and publishing?

We agree the publishing account and responsibilities at the start. Platform review is separate from the creative build, so approval, distribution and exact review timing are not guaranteed by the studio.

What assets do you need from us?

Usually the campaign brief, brand guidelines, approved logos, product imagery and any required copy. We identify gaps early and agree which assets you provide and which need to be created.

How are revisions and ownership handled?

Revision rounds, deliverables, source-file handover and usage rights belong in the project scope. We confirm those details before work starts rather than assume the same arrangement fits every project.

What about launch support and measurement?

The launch plan should identify who publishes, distributes and monitors the experience. We can discuss appropriate handover and measurement options for the platform; reach and campaign outcomes are not promised.
